Burns Lake girls will compete in 2024 BC Summer Games

The Burns Lake girls from the Northwest division Zone 7 U13 basketball team will be competing in the 2024 BC Summer Games. The tournament happens every two years and features teams from eight different zones throughout the province. It will be held in Maple Ridge on July 18 to 21. Girls from all over the Northwest attended a Zone 7 Summer Games ID Camp in Vanderhoof from April 6 and 7 lead by Brad van Dolah. Ten girls were selected to the U-14 team and 10 for the U-13 team. Eight of the U-13 girls who made the final cut are from Burns Lake and the other two are from Vanderhoof and Hazelton. Zone 7 consists of communities from Haida Gwaii to Vanderhoof.
